Prohibited Items
PROHIBITED ITEMS AND ACTIVITIES
YOU MAY NOT, UNDER AN CIRCUMSTANCES, USE YOUR STORAGE SPACE FOR SLEEPING, LODGING, OFFICING, HAVING A FULL-TIME WORKSHOP OR WORK AREA, RESIDING AT ANY TIME OF DAY, COOKING, TOILETING OR CONSUMING DRUGS OR ALCOHOL.
MAY NOT STORE under any circumstances:
- Living creature or organism, or any dead animal or other carcass;
- Gasoline, oil, fuel, grease, anti-freeze, or flammable chemicals;
- Explosives, fireworks, or ammunition;
- Corrosive, toxic, poisonous, or hazardous materials or waste;
- Asbestos or asbestos-containing construction materials;
- Lawn debris (grass clippings, brush, etc.);
- Construction debris, tires, oil, or batteries, whether new or used;
- Items that have a noxious smell in Lessor’s sole judgment;
- Marijuana and/or controlled substances of any kind;
- Prohibited weapons under the Texas Penal Code; or
- Stolen property, and items illegal for self-storage under any law.
- Food, animal feed, fertilizers, pesticides, or items which are wet and could mildew or attract rodents.
- Any item considered unlawful or illegal by local, state or federal authorities
NEED OWNER’S WRITTEN PERMISSION TO STORE:
- Vehicles, ATVs, motorcycles, tractors, mowers, or other items with wheels and fuel tanks
- Boats, outboard motors, jet skis, wave runners, or other watercrafts with fuel tanks
- Gasoline cans or similar containers for combustible fuel;
- Liquid propane tanks, oxygen tanks, or similar containers; or other combustible material
NEED OWNER’S WRITTEN PERMISSION FOR:
- Garage sale, flea market, or direct sales from the property;
- Parties, gatherings, meetings for any purpose, or building floats;
- Business office (unless spaces specifically designated for such use)
- Sanding, painting, welding, soldering, carpentry or operating power equipment;
- Practicing or playing musical instruments (individual or group);
- Uses that violate zoning, fire, or criminal codes or other laws; or
- Activities classified as a nuisance in Lessor’s sole judgment.
- Altering, painting, or defacing any part of the space or facility;
- Putting weight on or attaching anything to structural elements;
- Putting holes in floors, walls, or other parts of the leased space;
- Placing a visible sign or installing an alarm system in or on space; or
- Modifying electrical service in any manner, including but not limited to removing or modifying lighting fixture to add a plug to the unit.
- Using electricity for anything other than lighting, except for plugs specifically provided by owner for charging car or boat batteries.
